The ANC is Beyond Repair

The latest killings of PPE whistleblower, Babita Deokaran (53), leading Anti-GBV campaigner and law student, Nosicelo Mtebeni (23), and young mother Samantha Zungu (27) within ONE week in South Africa is a serious concern.

These tragic events expose the failure of the ANC to govern and how their reinforcement of corruption and poverty has turned South Africa into a state of absolute lawless. The Land Party is reflecting on the deaths of these 3 women, to give a clear perspective on how these crimes relate to one another and a reflection of the current status quo in our country under the ANC government.

Corruption is not just a “white-collar” crime where people are laundering money and crooking the books, it breeds other heinous crimes. The more corrupt a society, the more violent and deadly it is. The more unequal and impoverished society is, the more violent and deadly it is. The gangster-style assassination of Babita Deokaran shows exactly how corrupt our country is under the ANC government. It is very clear that her killers are ANC politicians who are accused of stealing taxpayers' money from the Gauteng department of health.

This is what happens when the State is weak and has failed. Committed, hard workers get killed for protecting public interests. The organized criminals take charge of the State and discard any threat in their way without any recourse. Life is cheap. These criminals are working with the senior law enforcement officers from the police department, intelligence, and other crucial stakeholders to assassinate any person who is a stumbling block. This is what happened to Babita Deokaran.

The lawlessness makes citizens take advantage of the situation and do as they wish and even innocent people see crime as an option to escape their situations. Poverty makes people lose their dignity and their humanity. Criminals also seize the opportunity and undermine the rule of law because those who are supposed to show leadership and be courageous in society are themselves hell-bent on taking care of their own and committing crimes with impunity. This lack of leadership, control, integrity, and commitment to the people of South Africa results in women like Nosicelo Mtebeni and Samantha Zungu becoming victims of circumstance, and people like Samantha Zungu become the victims of criminal leadership and organized crime.

The only solution to the current situation we find ourselves in as a country is to do the right thing and vote out the ANC from the government. There is no other way to deal with the level of corruption and crime in our country except to vote out the ANC from the government. The Land Party strongly believes that as long as the ANC remains in power, South Africans will continue to suffer, and the country will see more of these violent crimes.

In a weak and failed state, the authorities, law enforcement agencies, and citizens become hopeless and start to engage themselves in criminal activities to make ends meet or achieve personal goals. Crime becomes the only way to achieve anything in a corrupt society and leaderless State.

The Land Party Chief Leader once said in an interview from SAfm, “The ANC can bring Barack Obama to come and be a president of the ANC but Obama will fail because corruption is entrenched in the ruling party.” This simply means that no leader will transform the ANC character and its failure to govern. Those who continue to vote for the ANC are complicit in the failures of the ANC to govern and as responsible for the outcomes.

The Land Party challenges the people of South Africa to be the agents of change and be part of the solution by participating in voting against the ANC. The Land Party asks the South African people to put a stop to the cowboy government of the ANC by voting parties with pragmatic solutions, like LAND Party, to bring about a complete change in South Africa.
