2021 Elections are NOT Free or Fair, they’re a Farce

The LAND Party would like to inform the people of South Africa that they have, once again, been taken for fools by the IEC and their governing party, the ANC. There has been nothing free or fair about these elections whatsoever. They have been nothing but a complete waste of time, money, and energy.

This, at a time when South African’s are desperate for change, is completely unacceptable. South Africans from across the country have reported being turned away from voting stations they were registered to vote at. Some have voted at the same voting stations since 1994 and are suddenly registered in places they have never visited, never mind lived in, as well as many who have been sent back to the voting stations they first voted at over 20 years ago.

There have been reports of people voting without original IDs, drunk IEC officials, sleeping POs, IEC offices being left unmanned and unlocked, IEC officials blocking party representatives from communicating with them, unstamped ballot papers, and a host of other issues.

The IEC is fooling you by telling you the problems are small. Every vote counts. It is every South Africans right to vote and the IEC has denied thousands of them this right.

LAND Party is outraged at this situation and the lack of communication with parties and citizens regarding the situation. An investigation is not good enough as it does not rectify the situation or restore this right.
