LAND Party call the minister of police Bheki Cele to arrest his colleague, the minister of communication Stella Ndabeni Abrahams. Stella Ndabane is a second high profile individual who undermined government plans to curb Covid-19 virus. First, it was Kenneth Meshoe, a religious and political figure defying the health minister and government on keeping social distance. Yet both individuals are walking free without consequences. LAND Party is monitoring this biased behaviour from the governing party. The ANC councillor, Michelle Sapepa, also called a public meeting during lockdown which resulted in an unnecessary altercation between the police and the people of the informal settlement of Marikana in Hermanus, Western Cape. The same councillor was caught evicting an old man in Kwasa-Kwasa during lockdown and no necessary steps were taken against her. If the minister of police fails to deal with these characters, we then ask the government to stop harassing the poorest citizens and behaving like apartheid government in creating criminal records for the marginalised and the destitute masses. We call the police minister to act decisively against those who are undermining lockdown and dealing with political high profile people will send a very strong message. It is such irresponsible individuals who are causing this crisis and many people to disregard the lockdown. END
