Chief Leader and members of Land Party attacked

Land Party Chief Leader, Gcobani Ndzongana, was attacked by taxi owners in his home in Zwelihle at approximately 8.30pm this evening. He was shot at and physically attacked but was luckily not alone and comrades managed to get him to a place of safety without any major injuries. 

It would seem that the local taxi owners have decided to take on a new role of community policing armed with live ammunition. Just this morning they stopped a community protest by threatening and firing randomly at members of the Zwelihle community.
