Do It For Tambo

LAND Party is pleased that the President has announced the date for the 2021 Local Government Elections. Wednesday the 27th of October cannot come soon enough!

LAND Party also takes note of the mind games ANC leader, President Cyril Ramaphosa, is playing with the people of South Africa. You must be desperate, Mr President, to think that by having the elections on Oliver Tambo’s birthday people will be stupid enough to be overwhelmed by nostalgia for the old ANC and vote for you again.

You are out of touch with how the majority of the country, the working class and the poor, are suffering. They are tired of the empty promises of politicians. They are tired of living without even their basic needs being met. They are tired of the money intended to uplift them being used to make your comrades rich. They are tired of having a president that is a puppet of the White Monopoly Capitalists and the Imperialists make decisions about their children’s future. They are tired of being taken for fools.

South Africa, LAND Party calls on you to vote with your head. Vote for your community leaders. This is your opportunity to put ordinary people from your community into council. People like you. People who understand the harsh reality of being poor in the most unequal country in the world. People who will stand up for your needs because they are also their needs. People who will put the well-being of their communities before profit. People who care.

LAND Party’s doors are open to all community leaders and activists in South Africa who are looking for a political home. We are here for you. We will guide and support you to empower your community to choose the people they want to represent them in council.

In 1987 Oliver Tambo said: "We seek to create a united Democratic and non-racial society. We have a vision of South Africa in which black and white shall live and work together as equals in conditions of peace and prosperity."

After 27 years the inequality between black and white, and between rich and poor, has grown exponentially. The very people whom we entrusted our votes to have actively deepened the division that Tata Tambo spoke of. LAND Party calls on South Africans to help realize the vision Oliver Reginald Tambo had of equal conditions of peace and prosperity by voting for what he believed in and not for his party which has failed him, and us.

It is time for there to be true equality in South Africa. It is time to“Eat the Rich” and Vote LAND.
