Embroiled in the transgressions against and factions formed within the Party, National Head of Communication, Buntu Gwija; Politburo member, Tonic Manchidi; and ordinary members Masibulele Zitha and Nondumiso Zwane have been suspended for gross misconduct, harassment and fraud, amongst other serious misdemeanours.
These latest allegations of misconduct have come to light since the suspension of National Coordinator, Maxwell Mothlake on 20 May. It is suspected or has become evident that they are part of a collective who have been deployed to undermine and sabotage the Land Party. We expect to uncover more members of this insidious grouping where upon the Land Party will take appropriate action.
All of these transgressors have until 15:30 today to respond to the charges brought against them before the Party takes the decision to terminate their probation fully and finally.
Land Party leadership has decided to take decisive action to protect the interests of the communities we serve as well as the members of the Party who have sacrificed themselves selflessly for the Party. We will never allow populists and power mongers to corrupt the purity of our movement.
The Party has also received and accepted the resignation of Politburo member, Maryam Salie.
We remain resolute as our membership continues to grow and we assure our existing members that all remaining corrupt individuals will be dealt with decisively in our Central Committee meeting this weekend.
End.
