The Land Party condemns the statements of the deputy secretary of the SACP, comrade Solly Mapaila, that Robert Sobukwe was favoured by the apartheid regime. Mapaila and the SACP are a curse to the struggle of the left. The SACP and its alliance partners can be compared to political schizoids displaying a pattern of indifference toward social relationships. They tend to assume extreme positions, and are eager to retaliate against minor offenses. Their poor sense of human emotions, social relations and reality leads them to superimpose erroneous, pejorative interpretations upon other people’s intentions. What gives them the right to insult our forebears? Comrade Robert Sobukwe, Nelson Mandela, Chris Hani, Steve Biko, Govern Mbeki and others are a source of inspiration and hope to the destitute masses of our people’s struggle.

The Land Party takes note of a growing tendency from political dinosaurs that push an imperialist agenda to discredit our forebears. Nelson Mandela is also a victim of these counter revolutionaries. We have seen many of these political schizoids trying to be popular by appeasing their imperialist masters and discrediting the work done by the heroes of our struggle against imperialism. They easily become involved in activities which are seemingly moral, but which actually inflict damage upon themselves and others. Their impoverished psychological worldview makes them typically pessimistic regarding human nature. These political animals are nothing more than selfish liberals who masquerade behind the banner of communism and socialism.

The SACP’s vision is self-sustainability, nepotism, cronyism and pleasing their capitalist bosses by insulting our heroes and heroines.

The SACP’s political scheme brings about a fundamental disconnect with the masses of our people and politics of the left. This is the same reason for the people’s dissatisfaction with centre right movements like ANC.

The Land Party invites all forward-thinking South Africans to boycott the SACP political scheme and join the real and only communist party in South Africa, the Land Party.

We believe the spirit of Robert Sobukwe and many other heroes will punish Mapaila and his populist grouping in the upcoming general elections.
