LAND PARTY Revolution Day - 24 February

Today we celebrate the first birthday of the Land Party revolution. It was on this day, 24 February, when our people revolted against capitalist gangsters, imperialists, the rich upper class and the bourgeoisie by taking back what belonged to them. It was on this day that Hermanus gave birth to the Land Party revolution. Women and men of our revolutionary struggle stood up against these capitalist forces and took back the land that was sold by the ANC to the corrupt right wingers. We managed to crush their strategy of trying to isolate Africans, particularly the black majority, from having access to the sea-front.

Women and men fought side by side to defeat the Police State hegemony that brutalised the poor people from Zwelihle. These men and women stood up in unity and confronted the tyranny they faced until they won the battle against the enemy rulers of the ANC and DA. This is recorded as the most successful Land expropriation without compensation land revolution in the history of South Africa.

Today I thank these women and men who remained fearless against police brutality, racist right wingers such as AWB and Afriforum, and the ANC and DA councillors who sought the intervention of the army when they realised they were incapable of fighting a noble fight and that their defeat was imminent. All these evil forces combined with the justice system in Hermanus were defeated and the Land revolutionaries seized victory.

The Land Party marked this historic day by having its first Central Committee Plenary meeting in Zwelihle this weekend. The Land Party was created by these women and men who were in the front line of the war against imperialist forces, the police, the State and other evil forces in our fight for Land.

When the Land Party captures state power we will name this day 'Revolution Day'. We will honour all those revolutionaries who dedicated their lives for this struggle. This was not just a revolution for Land but one against imperialism, global capitalism, the corrupt state and all imperialist forces combined. I am inspired by these warriors who fought without weapons against armed imperialist forces. The police, ANC, DA, AWB and other armed imperialist stooges were defeated and the revolutionaries continue to reign supreme. The Land Party government will honour our revolutionary martyrs who died in the line of duty fighting the imperialist forces and build a monument to pay tribute to them for eternity.

This revolution gave birth to Marikana, Dubai and New York for the residents of Zwelihle, Hermanus, and we will never forget how we got there.

Comrade Castro once said 'A revolution is not a bed of roses. A revolution is a struggle between the future and the past.'
