Land Party Suspends National Coordinator

It is with great affliction that the Land Party must officially announce the suspension of the Land Party National Coordinator, Maxwell Mothlake. After a number of transgressions and blatant ill discipline, the Chief Leader, along with the Politburo of the Party, have taken a decision to suspend the National Coordinator with immediate effect to prevent further damage being caused to the Party.

It has come to our attention that the National Coordinator has been working with the Premier of Gauteng, David Makhura as well as Ace Magashule to sabotage the Land Party and usurp power from the Chief Leader for his own personal gains. We have also received reports that Mr Mothlake sold Land Party votes to the ANC while he was in Pretoria at the IEC results centre during elections. This is not what the Land Party stands for, and we are deeply saddened that members of the organisation joined simply for reasons of power and ego.

We received these reports before elections but Mr Mothlake cried crocodile tears and begged not to be removed as National Coordinator and to our own detriment we gave him a second chance.

Our new National Coordinator will be appointed at our Central Committee Meeting this Saturday, 25 May.

The Land Party remains steadfastly committed to serving our communities and changing the lives of the poor and most destitute people of South Africa.
