Residents from Dipopong Village in Limpopo have contacted the Land Party regarding the many service delivery challenges they are currently facing. Despite repeated requests to attend to both water and road-works issues, the Lephalale Municipality have neglected to attend to these issues since initial contact was made last year.
In August last year the councillor of ward 8, Mmaselokela, was contacted by the Dipopong community requesting answers regarding abandoned water and roadwork projects in the district. Despite repeated attempts by the community, their questions remain unanswered and the service delivery projects remain incomplete.
After two visits to the villages in Lephalale recently we learned that 12 members of the community were unlawfully arrested and some even shot with rubber bullets for voicing out against the abandoned water and roadwork projects.
Land Party has informed our Limpopo members of the current situation and we are intervening to help make a difference in the lives of this desperate community.
Today we attended the court case of the #Lephalale12 and the Land Party Chief Leader, Gcobani Ndzongana addressed the community, pledging the Land Party’s support to empower and protect every member of the Lephalale community.
