As a tribute to African tradition and culture, the Land Party will perform a cleansing ceremony in Zwelihle, Hermanus by slaughtering 3 bulls on the day of the Manifesto Launch. The bulls will also be slaughtered according to Muslim tradition, and spiritual leaders from different religious and cultural backgrounds will be invited to participate.

While observing strict traditional protocol, the first bull will be sacrificed to finally and officially dispel hatred, anger, racial division and evil spirits, and particularly to drive away the spirit of Jan van Riebeeck. The slaughter of this bull will rectify the Clifton beach ceremony that did not correctly follow African traditional protocol.
The sacrifice of the second bull will be in celebration of unity, cultural diversity, love and peace for all the people of South Africa. Land Party believes that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.
The third bull will be sacrificed to honour the birth of the Land Party and to celebrate our registration with the IEC and the fact that we will officially be contesting the National Elections on 8 May 2019!
We kindly extend an invitation to the SPCA to attend the event to ensure that this ceremony is not an act of animal cruelty, but rather a humane and respectful animal sacrifice according to traditional African culture.
We look forward to welcoming thousands of guests from all over South Africa for the Land Party Manifesto Launch, a historic event in South African history and a true reflection of a people’s democracy in the fight against corruption and for a strong economy to uplift and empower all the people of our country.
Join us on Thursday 21 March at the Zwelihle Stadium in Hermanus from 10:00 AM.
Thank you!
