Ministers MUST visit Farms as a Matter of Urgency

The LAND Party asks the Minister of Police to visit all farms where farmers have been brutally murdered as a matter of urgency, and the Minister of Labour to prioritise any cases pending investigations from farmworkers and visit those farms.

The LAND Party believes that there is a rot in many farms where many farm owners are disrespecting and exploiting their farmworkers and, when the farmworkers are failed by the police force, they take the law into their own hands.

The LAND Party believes that continued racism, slavery, and exploitation on farms is the cause of the farm murders that some people claim to be a genocide. The LAND Party believes there are a lot of human rights violations happening on farms but, because farm owners are working very closely with some corrupt police officials, the farmworkers get frustrated and resolve to take the law into themselves.

The LAND Party also asks the government to call for a referendum for the redistribution of land without compensation. Until the Land debacle is resolved South Africa will continue to experience these horrific crimes.

The LAND Party believes that some of the farm killings are driven by private security companies to secure contracts on farms. These are the same people who drive the ‘white genocide’ narrative on social media that is polarizing our society even more than it already is. They have no respect for the victims or their families and post images of the victims on social media. They keep people living in fear and signing up for their services. The Minister of Labour must also prioritise any security cases open at his department.

The LAND Party believes that the far-right groups and white supremacy extremists are using these killings to lobby and incite civil war in South Africa. The killings are used to lobby farmers to join private security networks that are plotting a coup against the government and the country.
