Nxesi MUST go!

The LAND Party call for the resignation of the minister of labor, minister Thulas Nxesi. The minister has failed the people of South Africa and the beneficiaries of UIF. For the minister to cry about corruption in his department is just a hoax. By suspending employees in the department of labor he is shirking his responsibilities and failing the workers and the people of our country.

Minister Nxesi must be reminded that he was the first person to promise the country and the rightful beneficiaries in March that all is in place and they will be very careful to combat corruption and deal decisively with those who will be corrupting the system.

The people of South Africa can no longer tolerate a corrupt government and its officials. Mr Thulas Nxesi must resign because he is not just corrupt but useless. LAND Party reminds South Africans that Mr Nxesi is the minister who covered Zuma's corruption in Nkandla, he is the minister who claimed Mr Zuma's swimming pool was a fire pool.

It came with the great shock that such a dodgy character was kept in government while he should be in the wilderness like the others who were the beneficiaries of former president Zuma's corrupt administration. Minister Nxesi failed as a minister of Sport and as a minister of Public works and now he is allowed to collapse the very critical and important labor department.

The LAND Party asks president Ramaphosa to fire Minister Nxesi if the minister does not voluntarily resign. The LAND Party does not accept any excuses made by Minister Thulas Nxesi about the corruption that took place during COVID-19 pandemic in his department. If President Ramaphosa is not captured by a certain faction of the ruling party, the LAND Party challenges him to act against Minister Nxesi as one of the most disastrous ministers in his government. The LAND Party also asks the Hawks to investigate the minister as he must be held accountable for the corruption that happened under his watch during the pandemic. Perhaps the stolen money went to the ruling party's preparations for the upcoming 2021 local government elections campaign? If so, the LAND Party expects no action from President Ramaphosa as his party is the beneficiary of his corrupt administration.
