Release the Military Veterans

The LAND calls for the ruling ANC to apologize to the people of South Africa, and to the military veterans. The LAND further demands the immediate release of military veterans arrested last night. It is the ANC that triggered the behaviour of military veterans to resort to doing what they did last night. The LAND further demands the ANC government to fast-track the process of dealing with the grievances of the military veterans.

The LAND demands that all criminal charges against military veterans be dropped and an independent body be appointed to handle the grievances raised by the military veterans. The LAND is concerned that the ruling party continues to put our country into disrepute. The LAND is very concerned about the rise of lawlessness under the ANC government, particularly the current administration.

The LAND Party has met with some of the military veterans who have expressed disgust about the treatment they received from the ruling party. The LAND also asks the government to pay attention to the military veterans Khoisan group led by General Morake and ensure they are integrated. The LAND also wants the minister of defense to come from the military and not from political civilians.

The LAND asks the ruling ANC to stop abusing state resources when it is failing to fulfill its obligations and commitments. The LAND Party views the deployment of the Task Force as an abuse of State resources and the Mr of Police Cele must be condemned in the strongest terms. The minister of defense and the minister in the presidency say on record their lives were not in danger.

The defense minister further said they were singing and dancing with the military veterans, proving that the deployment of a Task Force was totally unnecessary and reaffirming the LAND Party's position that minister Cele must account for the abuse of State resources. The LAND maintains its position that the sooner South Africans vote against the ANC government the better. As the ruling party, it is not only gambling with one of its own structures, it is compromising the safety of our citizens and the sovereignty of the our country.
