The Land Party is aware that its members are under attack by the ANC after ANC faced defeat in three VDs in Zwelihle, Hermanus. The Land Party calls on the members of all political parties, particularly those of the ANC, to accept election results and the decline of support for their party.

The Land Party is the humanistic vanguard of the people, and as such we understand the frustration of the ruling party’s loss in Zwelihle to a 4-month-old Land Party.

We call for political tolerance and decisive leadership to dispel the anger and bitterness from those who face defeat. The Land Party knows that the ANC plotted to assassinate the Chief Leader of the Land Party before elections but because this has failed, they now want to burn the house of the Land Party Chief Leader by sparking trouble in Marikana, Zwelihle.

There are two ANC councillors involved in the shack demolishing in Marikana, along with a lady called Pearl. All this was done to lobby the community to rally behind the ANC and to then go and burn down the house of our leader. We will open a case at the police station and identify the culprits involved, and we will be demanding the arrest of those individuals.

Land Party members are currently celebrating in Zwelihle and are excited that they voted the party of their choice and they won't be deterred by sore losers of the ANC.

The Land Party further congratulates Cyril Ramaphosa and hopes that he will lead our country with dignity and peace. We wish that God grants him wisdom to unite our people and our country. The Land Party’s focus lies squarely now on local government elections.
