Voters from Overstrand Ward 12 elect Land Party candidate in pre-election election

The LAND Party candidate for Ward 12 was elected by voters from the ward in an historic election in Zwelihle, Hermanus today. All voters from Ward 12, regardless of their party, could vote for who they wanted to represent them in the local Overstrand Municipal council in the by-election to be held on 9th December 2020. The six candidates were Sibulelo Mshweshwe, Michael Mhana, Mpumelelo Sobantu, Fumane Duba, Zanele Maqikiqa, and Vuyokazi Magqirha Phoselo.

We are pleased to announce that Michael Mhana will be the LAND Party candidate for Ward 12. His appointment has been confirmed by the Politburo of the LAND Party this evening. It was a difficult decision for the residents of Ward 12 as all six of the prospective candidates are strong leaders and active community members.

LAND Party has very clear expectations of their public representatives and we have no doubt that Comrade Michael Mhana will do us proud as the first LAND Party public representative.
