The LAND Party calls for the South African government to use its BRICS platform to develop HIV /AIDS drugs. The LAND Party is very worried that South Africa has been sidelined through the AGOA trade deal by the US government to dictate policy position for putting America's interests above South Africa's interests. For the African governments to be dependent on America for such important treatment is irresponsible and exposes the failure of the ruling party to govern South Africa.

The LAND Party asks all those living with the virus to act responsibly, take their treatment with caution, and try to keep fit and healthy at all times. The LAND Party understands that it is impossible for those who are poor to live a healthy lifestyle and therefore the LAND Party asks for the government to also support those who are living with the virus with R3000 food coupons and by building gymnasiums in all communities for the South African citizens to remain fit and healthy.

The LAND Party appeals to the people to adopt the attitude that “we are all positive until we get tested.” We are all affected by the virus, directly and indirectly, as some of our friends, family members, and neighbors are living with the virus. We must advocate love and care for those who are infected and living with the virus so that we can all live long together. We are all positive because we are all affected.
