The Land Party is very concerned about South Africa's media for downplaying the death of His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini. The Land Party takes note that whenever there's a story about the British Monarchs, the South African media is giving more attention to the British Monarchs than esteemed African Kings and Queens, as if South Africa is still a colony under the British Monarch.
The South African youth and public are fed the stories of the British Royals, but nothing is said about the Monarchies in our country. This is totally wrong and violates the right of freedom of religion, belief, and association. In addition to great Kings and Queens, South Africa has princes and princesses who are doing a sterling job in educating our youth. For example, Princess Philisiwe Sigcawu who is an inspiration to the young people. She's planting crops and selling traditional food, but nothing is said about her as she reigns in our local Monarchy.
The Land Party asks the South African media to give the necessary coverage of our King, His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini, across all media platforms. The Land Party does not only speak out on His Majesty, but the party has been consistently being undermined and disrespected by the media's lack of understanding that they are more important to the African people than the British monarchy. The Land Party asks the people of South Africa not to remain quiet while their culture, traditions, and beliefs are undermined.
